Why we're in more doo doo than we ever imagined

So, the hearings for Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination is heated up enough, but we have in the midst an op-ed article from an anonymous high ranking person in Trump's cabinet (possibly) saying "you know the guy you thought was a bit unhinged is really more unhinged than you could possibly imagine, BUT, we've got this under control behind the scenes, so don't panic..wink, wink).  On top of that...merely a day or so ago Steve Bannon gets massive attention being asked to headline a normally progressive, artsy, fartsy New Yorker Festival.

If you step back a bit, one might wonder a few things.  1) What the hell is going on with our journalism in this country?  2) Are we underestimating the capabilities of totalitarian, authoritarian, tyrannical, racial nut jobs given too much power? 3) When do we realize we need a plan, and who do we intrust this plan to?

If this wasn't happening in real time, I would be buying the first ticket to see this conspiracy thriller on the big screen.  I think my skin is numb....there are just too many layers to figure out.  I keep waiting for Sherlock from the Elementary series to step forward and figure all this out.

It's 10am on Thursday morning and I need a drink.....
